Chong Qing Day 5 & 6: FAA Awards Ceremony
Hello everyone!!
Happy 2017!!! I'm sp excited to start the brand new year on a good note, so I saved the very last blogpost from my trip to Chong Qing for today. Of course, my last night in Chong Qing was spent getting ready for the Fashion Asia Award Presentation Ceremony.

And then we waited at the lobby to get onto our buses!

I'm not even sure why it didn't cross my mind. It could have been the cold. Mind you, my hands were so cold I couldn't exactly feel them haha!

I realised we were pretty much far behind because they were going by alphabetical order. But that also meant I did get to snap photos of all the other representatives that went on to the red carpet before us!

I was really happy that I was finally seated somewhere pretty strategic. I've been sitting too far to the corner or too far behind during the previous days but I finally had a good angle!

The first award was for the Asian Top Hairstylist of the Year.
This was Singapore's model!!

I will list down all the winners for the awards later on, don't worry! I figured it would be a lot easier if I just run you guys through the night and then tell you the results! Also, if you want to see more of the catwalks, just hold on a little longer because the vlog is coming out this Thursday!!

Next up was the catwalk for the Asian Top Fashion Young Designer of the Year.
More awards were announced after that~

And then a performance by the Japanese Nominee
I need a moment to say that she is just so so gorgeous and I really liked her performance :')
And then Angela gave out an award!!
Then came the catwalk for the Asian Top Fashion Jewellery Designer of the Year.
I like that~
Then came another performance by China's nominee
And last but not least, a performance by the Sri Lankan nominee
She has such a powerful voice, and she's really friendly too! Oh and, in case you are wondering, the singers that have performed through the night were the 5 nominees for the Asian Top Fashion Singer Award.

Next was the catwalk for the Top Asian Models!

Honestly I was just too excited for this because I've seen a bit of their preparations on Day 3, and my goodness, I thought everything was so amazing already, but the final looks were just mind blowing.
The model who had her whole head covered, she was such a pro on the catwalk.
SINGAPORE SINGAPORE!
I felt so proud.
Taiwan ended the catwalk with quite a showcase!
And then the last of the awards were given out!

Congratulations to all the winners, I'm sure everyone has put in copious amounts of effort and time to get to where they are today and to be nominated for an award alone is an honour! Even if Singapore didn't win anything, I think we did pretty great!
Day 6 went by super fast, mostly because we were going home already! Had a pretty good sleep so I had breakfast a little later. My roommate had left earlier that morning and I did feel a little lonely after that. I was half asleep while she was leaving so I think I didn't really say goodbye properly.
I felt pretty sad that it was my very last breakfast at Chong Qing. It was just so lovely despite the fog haha. But before I knew it, I was packing my luggage and making final rounds around my room to make sure I left nothing behind.
It was a pretty alright flight. I'd say I had problems trying to get to sleep as always but at the very least, the couple seated next to me were pretty nice people. We landed safely and on time at Singapore Changi Airport so thank you SilkAir~
This officially concludes my trip to Chong Qing and not gonna lie, I am having withdrawals, as much as I love being home with my friends and family here in Singapore. School starts again tomorrow so I feel like I almost haven't exactly had a break but hey, good things come to those who hustle! I hope you guys are having a great start to 2017, I'll see you in my next blogpost!
