Miss Singapore Beauty Pageant 2017: Grand Finals
Hello everyone!
Last Friday, we finally crowned our new Miss Singapore Beauty Pageant queens for the year 2017! It's been quite a rough year for the girls, but they kept their heads in the game and remained strong. Congratulations girls, you've inspired many with your perseverance!

This year, the grand finals was held at the Concorde Hotel, which was a different setting from last year at Orchid Country Club. Another new thing this year, would be the additional title of Miss Grand. I realised that a lot of people tend to be misinformed about the pageant, thinking that ERM is the only company that does pageants, which is not true. There are a number of companies that do pageants, and these girls will represent Singapore overseas.
Let's just focus on the titles that ERM will give away, we have Miss Singapore Chinatown, whereby the winner will go to Hong Kong to compete in Miss Chinese International which is organised by TVB. Next up, is Miss Global Beauty Queen, who will then compete in Miss Singapore Global Beauty Queen in Korea. Thirdly, It's Miss Singapore Tourism Queen International who will then compete in the Miss Tourism Queen International in China. Lastly, our newest title - Miss Grand Singapore, will be headed to Thailand to compete in Miss Grand International.
I hope this does give all of you a better insight, to see that our queens will NOT be competing in the same pageant after this one, as the other queens from other companies as well. I've learnt a lot about pageants just from blogging with ERM for the past (almost) two years, and I used to think there was only one pageant in Singapore as well, but I was wrong and now it's my turn to let people know that they should not assume the same things I did.
With that being said, let's get on with the blogpost!
